A little gem, perfect for a day out with the grandchildren. 1st you have the park a fairly large park really has most things a normal park has a a could of playthings I haven't seen for a long time. 2nd the cafe a little expensive but nothing to bad, sells hot and cold snacks, from cakes to bacon bottles, a full range of drinks and multiple size cups from milkshakes to lattes they also sell chips and a few sweets. Oh I nearly forgot the sell the most delicious ice-cream. Then on over the the river banks lots of room on the back for social distancing, lots of ducks both on and off the water who love to interact with you if you have a little something for them. The river its self is wonderfull for all ages , you can water a long way without going above your knees, but do be aware the river Avon at this point has a fast flowing current and signs warning of some deep holes. All in all we had a wonderful day out the kids they loved it so much the really didn't want to leave for me that's the best review you can get. Oh and don't forget if you want to go into the water take something to wear in the water on your feet as very very sharp...

Very well kept playground area with a little café for snacks, drinks and ice cream (New Forest). Just beside a memorial area with roses is a skating park. This features the usual parts excluding bowels. The playground also features a small splashing pool for small children which is open in the summer. There is plenty of space to have a picmic and there is also a part of the river reachable from the area. Overall a well kept playground with facilities for all ages. The café features a good variety of drinks and some snacks with reasonable prices. There is a very good and large parking lot just across the street.

Overall a very good park for children, teenagers and parents to...

Lovely open space with a nice shallow river and many aquatic birds. Decent play areas for children, a bit muddy on rainy days but that can be expected given its mainly grass. Mainly attended by family crowds, could be somewhat crowded in good sunny days as the place is popular and nor too spacious. Paid car parking just opposite the road, £1 per hour £2 per two. Not sure if these change in the summer. Be caredul if you carry food, as swans could be a problem. They could come very close to you, and are fairly large when fully erect. That could easily scare a small unaccompanied child. Nothing really alarming as they can't...

Absolutely gorgeous park! We stayed for the whole day and didn’t get bored! You can feed the ducks, paddle in the river (very shallow for a LONG way out), a play in the splash pool or a play in the park and is the ideal place for a picnic. It’s a dog free park so no worries about doggy doo doo either. There is a kiosk for coffee, tea and icecreams which is great and public toilets too. Parking was easy during the week, straight across the road and pretty cheap. Fordingbridge is a very short walk over the bridge if you need anything or fancy the pub for lunch instead of a picnic. Brilliant park and will definitely be coming back!

A great family place. We enjoyed sitting next to the river watching the wildlife pass us by. Further on, children were playing on the shore splashing around having fun. There is a children's play park and also a skateboard park. A lovely cafe is on the grounds from which we enjoyed a cup of tea and cake. There are toilets on site, but due to the smell and condition I'd only use in an emergency . These really need to be cleaned regularly. So to sum this up, the place is great for the day bit on the downside the toilet facilities let it down.

This is one of those places that has many memories for me. I used to come here as a kid and loved it, now my boys are enjoying it, and for the most part it's widely unchanged. Lovely clean park, cafe and safe area for the kids to paddle. We took to some of the deeper parts of the river on the kayak and paddle board. Parking is just accross the road, reasonable prices and no height barrier so we could get our Motorhome in. Many memories have been made here in my 43 years, and I've no doubt there will be many more to come
