The Riverside Tea Garden — Restaurant in New Forest

Came last year lovley place, good food and price ok, lovley view that sells the place.

But this year came 2 times first time no service of sandwiches etc just cakes, second time member of staff who makes the food is off so only cakes, ordered tea came out coffee machine broken waiting for up stairs to make it staff member says, never came,went to pay staff not bothered,just said they are busy up stairs, they was just sitting around at till no manager running the place service going down hill. Such a shame .

So hit and miss and be prepared for this, hence scores...

We were staying locally for a short break and drove into Fordingbrige . We dropped into the Tea Garden for lunch we were a little early for the lunch menu so had a coffee first . Lunch menu is nice and varied two of us had the hog roast sandwich and one a beef sandwich . Excellent quality of food and having a riverside table made it all the more enjoyable. Staff friendly and attentive and I would recommend it without hesitation. Dog...

Went here for the first time as was visiting the museum and thought we were hungry so we thought we'll pop into a nice cafe shop which was suggested by locals the girl who served us today was very accommodating and very polite and Peter the manager seemed really nice informative and polite the food was top notch everything looked fresh tasted amazing wonderful location...
