What a fantastic experience. We were bought vouchers as a Christmas gift to make a tea light holder and blow two glass baubles. From the moment we called the contact with Langham was exceptional. We arrived for our glass blowing experience a few minutes early, as requested. Whilst we were waiting for our demonstration time we wandered around the gift shop, it was filled with the most amazing glass wares, from pumpkins to beautiful baubles, glass animals and leopard print bowls. There was also a cafe which we didn't use, however it looked nice, clean and well presented. It was quite a warm day so we thought that earlier would be abit better. We watched a demonstration of 4 different glass making processes, it completely absorbed us all. We totally loved watching the items come together. The presenter spoke well and explained everything really well. Once the demo was over it was our turn to complete our own unique work of art, and we all enjoyed every moment. We left our glass cooling in the cooler at Langham Glass over night. We were able to collect the next morning, however if you can't Langham will post out to you. We weren't quite sure if we were required to wear specific items of clothing for the glass blowing, such as long sleeved tops and long trousers, however, this is not necessary. Overall, a wonderful experience, and one I would totally do again. Don't hesitate to buy this as a gift for Christmas, we enjoyed...
Read moreWe were driving to another place when we saw the sign for Langham Glass. Not knowing what to expect from it, we decided to stop on the way back! It was certainly worth it, their shop is amazing! And they offered demonstration of Glass Blowing with also the option to try it for ourselves. That week, they didn’t have any demonstration planned, but we decided to book it for the following week (which was last Saturday). Note that you have to book the demonstration online, then on the day, arrive 30 minutes earlier to organise your own blowing experience if interested, which I would recommend! Prices vary from £3.50 to blow a bubble, to under £25 (if I remember correctly the prices). The person doing the presentation, has certainly great knowledge and the whole staff were really friendly and helpful! I'm wheelchair bound so I couldn't blow into the mold, but I could still blow a bauble with looks amazing! 😊 Note that the glass you make is ready for collection the next day as it needs to cool off first, or they can post it to you.
Hint: before blowing whatever you chose to, go to the trays on the right, with the colours, and arrange the pieces into a pattern as it will give even more uniqueness to your glass object!
If, like me, you're in a wheelchair, don't be put off by it as you can still do the experience like blowing a bauble!
We're now considering booking a class (half...
Read moreEdit (Nov ‘25): after learning that Langham offered demonstrations (see previous review below) I resolved to visit in person and duly drove the 130 miles this weekend. Totally worth it. The demonstration is fascinating, full of interesting information, humour and anecdotes from the teams’ collective experience. Watching them work is part art, part science and part interpretive dance. For a small additional fee you can blow your own piece which you can either collect the following day or have delivered. Knowing how well our previous order was packed, I am confident our baubles will arrive in one piece.
Very impressed with ordering online. I spotted an error in my order on the confirmation email and made contact to correct. My email was responded to on the same day (after office hours) and my correct order was shipped the next day. My item was well packaged and arrived in one piece. And now I read Langham Glass do tours/glass blowing experiences too! That’s something not to miss so I think a special trip to Norfolk...
