Kingsbury Water Park is possibly the best park in the Midlands. It's absolutely HUGE and features several different lakes for different uses; such as Jet Skiing, Fishing, Sailing, Model Boating, etc.
All lakes and areas are accessible by footpaths or roads making it great for walking and cycling. In fact you can hire out bikes if needed, however these are overpriced in my opinion so probably worth bringing your own which is 100% allowed. Some of the footpaths have benches for resting (very important for the elderly) however, again more benches are needed as some long stretches of path only have one bench or none! And if you have trouble walking and THAT bench is taken you are doomed!!!
There is plenty of car parking which is £4.50 a day.
The park offers train rides around the park, however many of the trains are a bit too small for my liking and look a bit ridiculous, especially for adults!
The park also has an information centre selling maps and gifts, 2 toilets and shops selling refreshments, however, due to the size of this park it could do with a few more! The toilets also need updating and a LOT more cleaning as they look very shabby and dirty (see photo).
Overall a good park, but it could be even better if a few more facilities were added to make it even more entertaining...
Read moreGreat place to visit for a day out with the family! Took my great Nephew (2) and his little sis (1) went on the little train which he loved as he is obsessed with trains that was £2.50 per adult return trip didn't have to pay for the 2 infants. Parking was a standard rate of £4.50 paid via card using the pay and display. There were a few bouncy castles on site when we went which was £2.50 per person (only 2yo went on) that was for about 15 mins, we had a picnic on the benches, watched the boats on the lake, walked around the different trails. Toilet blocks are available at the main entrance where the souvenir shop and cafe is but I didn't go in there this time, have been in previously all good quality food served clean toilets and helpful staff in shop. I used to take my daughter when she was younger to a kids club I think it was the last Saturday of the month where she did natural tie dye with plants sourced around the lakes, insect observing ect was great but not sure if this happens anymore?? Also went to Diwali a couple years ago to the festival of lights which was fantastic not sure if that's a thing anymore?? But would still highly recommend a visit it's such a nice place to visit especially in Autumn a nice cosy knit and the dogs what...
Read moreKingsbury Water Park is a wonderful place to visit and we had such a lovely day out. Even in the winter cold, the walks around the lakes were beautiful and perfect for taking the dog. The scenery is peaceful and well looked after, with plenty of information boards about the local wildlife and the nature of the lakes, which really added to the experience.
We were lucky enough to catch a miniature boat race on the water, which was great fun to watch. The children’s play areas are brilliant, and the little railway is a real highlight – even though we didn’t go on it, it was still very entertaining to watch. The café was welcoming and served the most delicious hot chocolates, just what you need on a chilly day.
Parking is £5 for the whole day, which we thought was excellent value. We’d definitely...
