Really nice place. Took my 3 year old who's trains mad - he loved seeing the different engines that were running, steam and diesel. Plenty of trains so never a long wait and it never felt overcrowded on the trains. The route isn't too short and plenty to look at as you go around, you can get off half way round and go to a play park and then get another train back, if you want to, or just sit on the whole way. We ended up doing 3 trips, my little one would've been happy doing more!

The staff are really friendly and that makes a huge difference, they're always waving to the kids, chatting and happy to take photos etc, really makes it a nice atmosphere. It's nice to see how passionate they are about their hobby.

Mostly open Sundays and more days in school holidays, so make sure to check it's open, but well worth coming to...

Brilliant! Everybody was so lovely, we dressed up for Halloween and went for the spooky steam train event, they let us have free tickets cause we dressed up as a family (which we really appreciated) the train ride was fab, much better than I'd realised, was much longer than expected, the people there had put alot of effort into it all, and the driver let my 3 year old son sit in the drivers seat ( which he loved) and we had some photos took for there Facebook page. Really lovely afternoon. Also the park and play area are really beautiful aswell and there's a little cafe and toilets. Well worth a visit, also there's a Santa/Christmas event which we re looking forward to...

Bright Lights 2022.

Enjoyed it on the whole. However a few changes could make it even more enjoyable…

please !! can you revert back to online bookings! Makes it so much easier as I had to do 30 mile round trip to collect tickets. Last year was a lot easier.

covered trains much warmer last year and the covered trains looked better than this years open trains. ( not a lot of decor on them) also found them very squashed.

big gaps of no lights on the train track . Last year it was covered and could tell it took ages

As I said it was enjoyable however think last years was better. Slightly...

Great little scale railway the kids (and old blokes who remember the war) will love. A couple of quid for a return ticket (as at Jul 2018). When we visited the trains were running late, they were all full, some were breaking down causing more delays. We had a return ticket but was told it would be quicker to walk back. It was just like the real thing! All that was missing were sweaty cheese and onion sandwiches - then they'd have it NAILED. Well done guys.

Great place my 4 year old loves it. At the time they had a steam event on and there were so many around 45 so i was told so he didn't know where to look first. He also loves you hat they have a level crossing that's makes a noise with lights just like a large railway. Great place loads of parking with a great cafe shop on site and a large play area for all ages.
