As has been said by many a person, you must take a visit, if only in homage to a fiercely perseverant people who worked tirelessly for freedom. This museum tells the historic events that led up to bloody Sunday, featuring first-hand video shot by one of the victims. It also tells the political process of elevating the innocence of the victims and the sole responsibility of the British paramilitary in the outcome that costs the lives of children and men. There are artifacts from the time of the troubles, a nice historic timeline, and like most museums, a strong anchor in Irish history from the start. We benefited from visiting this museum after the Peacemakers museum, which has a deeper perspective on the troubles, but appreciated and cherished a centering of the people of Derry -- a place that was central to the nationalist movement for the six occupied counties.

It was a busy visit and would recommend going earlier in the day when possible to avoid crowds. Good merchandise shop. We purchased some postcards of local murals, the peace bridge,...

Aw what a find! ❤️ Parked our car halfway down the hill (we weren't sure if there were parking spaces free further down - there was 🙄) and dandered down. Keep walking past the houses on your left and you'll find the (almost) 'hidden' path. It was quite stoney and rocky so trainers or boots would be best. Just take your time and be careful. We didn't walk too far round, but just sat for a while, listening to the water lapping up over the stones.

So calming....

Have lived here for how many years and never cease to be amazed at how many hidden gems I've yet...

Beautiful place to come Limited parking bit there was never a problem as very few people come here. No services

When the tide is out you can walk around the cliff to white park bay beach. I advise checking the tide timetable so you don't get stranded. Although if your up for it you could walk back via the road.

Recommend getting a take away coffee from bothy coffee to bring down with you!

The road entry to this beautiful place is directly opposite...

Beautiful wee spot 4 a walk around. Disappointed that the toilets weren't open, U needed a code 2 get in, but who do u ask 4 that? There was no one there but sightseers. Not far from the Dunseverick waterfall & a couple of miles by car, 2 the Dunseverick Castle
