Brocks Hill Country Park is a wonderful green space that encompasses a variety of natural habitats including ponds, woodland, meadows and farmland. The paths around the park are very good and accessible for all.
The park has a cafe that is open daily from 10am - 4pm. There are also toilets in the building where the cafe is located.
There are 2 play areas for children, one is by the cafe and is suited for younger children it is fenced off and has a gated access. The other play area is open and has swings, various slides, monkey bars, see saws etc. There is also a Den building area in the wooded area that encourages natural play.
Brocks Hill Country Park is very well managed by the borough council. Parking is free here - but it can get busy in Summer...

I was told to sit down so I emptied my bag of items onto a table ready for me to start work only to hear someone shout 'pumpkin latte'! So I then packed my bag to collect my drink. Why didnt someone just tell me it was 'get it yourself and push off service?'. Unwelcoming place,...
Read moreSuch a shame this great Park is so neglected No one can be bothered to empty the bins or pick up the copious amounts of rubbish. Dog walkers can't be bothered to pick up their mess. Overgrown dying bushes that no one cares about. An great memorial place to sit and remember ( surrounded by 6 foot thistles). A great sized pond that is filled with stagnant water supporting little if any life. Play areas are lacking numerous pieces of a equipment that I assume have been removed once worn rather than replaced. And of all things. You would think at the very least, the grass would be cut in the main play area and nettles chopped down. THIS AREA IS FOR CHILDREN to play in. Pull your finger out...
