Session Times: 10am-12pm 12.30-2.30pm 3pm-5pm Aimed at age 3+ £6 per person, £20 for group of 4 (must include 1 adult), under 3s free Ticket includes Exploration Zone and access to woodland Watch water freeze, listen to music through your teeth, see what’s hot and what’s not with our thermal camera and much, much more when you visit the Science Oxford Centre. We’ve got scarf shooters, circuit challenges and microscopes plus a fun Guess Who game with fossils, amazing geological rocks and dinosaur poo! ------ We went to a Family Open Day here, which the centre hosts on Saturdays every couple of weeks. It was brilliant! The activities are superb and really caught the imagination of the whole family, especially our toddler. When it's busy (as it was for us), the staff open up a second room. This was also full of fun and engaging activities. The rooms may seem on the smaller size when you first arrive, but there's plenty to cram in. We had also wanted to have a walk around the woodlands, but unfortunately they were closed due to strong winds. The woodlands are free to access and from what we could see look beautifully maintained. There are plenty of picnic tables on the decked area and packed lunches are welcome. The facilities are great - very family friendly, clean and modern. There are plenty of lockers and coat hooks. There's also a spacious baby change, but it's a shame the cafe doesn't have any highchairs. We were concerned after reading reports that car parking has limited spaces (and may require us to park and ride to the centre) but there were plenty of parking spaces on the day we went. There's a bike store and electric vehicle charging stations too.

What a magnificent place to spend a day of your weekend! We have booked a Family 👪 Day in the Centre. You can do this online throught their website and make a family visit during Saturdays. It is a very busy place so you need to keep checking for available places weeks in advance. Activities: During the Family Day the kids can spend two hours in the exploration area and follow a series of STEM activities. The ticket also includes all day access to the outdoor Wet 💦 Lab and to the wooland. Place is also ideal for hicking with 3 routes available (400m, 700m and 1km). Kids used their binoculars, their magnifying🔍 glass and a compass 🧭 to disover the hidden treasures of the forest. Equipment (🗺️, 🧭, 🎒, 🔍) is provided for free by the receptionist upon providing an ID card! 👷♀️Staff and beekeepers 🐝 volunteers were great, explained everything nicely to the kids and very patient! 🅿Parking: There is free parking in front of the main buildings for free for the family visits! 😉Extra tip: During weekends the cafe/restaurant ☕️ area is closed, so take lunch with you and enjoy a picnic in the woodland area!

Our family visit to the Oxford Science Centre was an absolute blast! This place is a treasure trove of hands-on learning and excitement for all ages. The interactive exhibits, engaging demonstrations, and diverse range of scientific experiments made learning incredibly fun and accessible. Our daughter was enthralled by the various activities and interactive displays, sparking her curiosity and love for science. The staff's enthusiasm and knowledge added another layer of enjoyment, making the experience both educational and entertaining. Whether it was exploring the wonders of physics, chemistry, or biology, there was something captivating for everyone. A fantastic place for families to bond, learn, and have a blast together!

Kids had too much fun. Will visit again. Downside: take your own snacks as cafe is VERY overpriced. Paid over £5 for a cinnamon bun. Edit: as i can’t work out how to respond to the response for my comment: I paid £13.50 for 2 cinnamon buns and an iced coffee. The coffee was £3 something which makes the cinnamon buns £5 each. OR it seems i have been overcharged in error by the lady in the caffe :(. - I didn’t know the price of the buns in advance as they weren’t priced so i just paid whatever they told me to pay.

Kids really enjoy going here. There is an indoor centre and and outdoor woodland to explore. During the warmer months there is also a water 'lab' which allows families to enjoy experimenting with basic physics using water based play. Kids don't even realise they are learning about Science when they come - which makes it all the more fun. Indoors and water lab area are wheelchair accessible and there is an indoor and outdoor wheelchair accessible toilet with a changing space in the outdoor one.

Once was enough for us at £22. Would have loved it when the kids were toddlers. Just isn't well set up for 6+ with all the impatient younger kids. With the café closed it wasn't more than an hour visit had to get them to do everything twice to use up the 2hrs.
