A lovely little nature reserve at the end of a residential street, so parking is limited. A pond and small area of woodland. Quite aa lot of steps.There are no bins so all litter needs to be carried with you and taken home. We picked up a few bits on our way round. There is a pond with frogs, toads, small fish, moorhens and ducks. There is a walk that goes around the water, some areas are wooden walkways. It was very muddy to the far left as you come in via the end of street. To the right the path takes you up high. There is a drop off, so small children will need to be supervised both at the waters edge and on the higher path. The far side shares a boundary with a sheep field. In summer or winter, it has the feel of somewhere miles out in the countryside, even though it is right next to the ring road. If you walk all the way up you come out at Shotover, or there is a beautiful 20min walk round the large pond/small lake. Free parking in Risinghurst makes it very easy to go to, I would say I wouldn't recommend it for those with walking impairments as it is all up hill.
