Ampleforth Arms has quickly become my go-to spot for authentic Indian cuisine in Oxford. I've visited twice now, and both times I've been consistently impressed by the quality of the food.

I've ordered the paneer and dal makhni on both occasions, and they've been absolutely delicious. The flavors are rich and authentic, transporting me right back to the comforts of home. Recently booked out part of the pub for a funeral reception/wake. The Ampleforth team put out a great spread. There was a lot of variety, and the quantity and quality received positive comments from all of the guests. Sandwiches, quiche, pizza, sausage rolls, chicken satay, chicken drumsticks, vol-au-vent, prawn tempura, cake, tea and coffee, and other things I have forgotten. Very good value for money indeed. We were tipped off to this place by a friend. He said it's the best Indian food in Oxford and now we've had it I have to say he might be right. We went for the breakfast buffet and everything was seriously SO GOOD! There was a really diverse selection, and everything was incredibly flavorful. The staff were also super knowledgeable, and so welcoming and kind. The chef came out to say hello at the end of the meal.
