So thirst things is that its a really nice pool and deserves appreciation. But the problem is staff. I'm a very confident club swimmer and my parents had booked a lane swim where I went to the fast lane BUT there were 2 people going very slowly up and down either side of the lane so I moved over a lane where I stayed for 10 minutes until they left and a quick, kind lady entered so I moved over and just in time as 2 minutes later a group of boys went In the other lane who could barely swim and who certainly hadn't booked but the lifeguard did nothing for the next 10 minutes when they left. Later they returned while I was doing dives and as I got out to do another dive they jumped right into my Lane! The lifeguards talked to them for a bit while I was leaving because I was having non of it and they said something to the lady before she left the lane! So I ended up getting out 10 minutes early.

Read moreSwimming pool is good for lane swimming, however my experience was that there are rarely enough lanes available for general lane swimmers, with most lanes kept for club use only. Yes during the day lanes are available, however when I most want to swim, such as straight after work then the pool is either closed to general swimmers or only 1/2 lanes open. I also find that on the website it will say a certain number of lanes are open, but then on arrival find that this is incorrect, and there are fewer lanes open than stated, making it crowded.
This is a shame, and although good for club use, it cuts out the general swimmer. I am unable to afford the costs to join club membership.
I would agree as well with the last comment about the cleanliness of the changing facilities. Often there is only soap in 1 of the dispensers, and it can be dirty and smelly frequently in the male...
Read moreThe gym is good, the pool is good if you're not a member but annoying when you realise that you can hardly ever actually use it even when you pay for it.
The gym is the only thing that saves this from being a one star review.
BE CAREFUL, a warning to anyone thinking of becoming a member. They tell you that there is a service you can use free in the gym called everyone active online - they never ever tell you about a cost to it unless you read the small print, everyone is signed up to this unless they say they don't want to be (we didn't in particular, but thought it was free so why not )and no cost is ever mentioned until the first time they draw money out - and then they say that it'll be drawn out every month and that the free part indicated free use of the computers in the gym to log into it. Disgusting sales techniques, its a rubbish...
