Looked at this as a possible wedding venue - was charged £25 for the privilege of looking round to see if we were taken by it. On arrival, the first thing to notice is the dirt car park - quite pot holey and in need of repair / tarmac. A bride with a white dress would be disappointed to get her dress filthy before she'd even started the day by walking over said car park. On going inside, we couldn't help but think that the place could do with a good clean - the floors didn't look as if they'd recently been cleaned - still thinking of a bride and her white dress. Welcomed by the staff and had a look around - we saw that the place wasn't the biggest, and with the 'simulator' in the center of the room it would divide any guests attending a wedding there in two, which isn't ideal. Also, when we took a look at the toilets, we saw that there was only a few available on site, 1 gents, 1 ladies and 1 disabled if I remember correctly, which is simply not enough when you have 100+ guests. We asked about a package and to our surprise we were told that to hire the place for 6 hours at £2,000, 3.5 hours of that was for them to set up / take down. Surely you'd expect it to be done before the hire? I've never heard of that before. If we wanted a 'package' then it was a case of ordering different things from different companies ourselves. Surely the idea of a package is to take away some of the stress / headache of doing all this? There's no catering on site either, so that would have had to be sourced by us too. There was even a hire charge for plates and cutlery. We were a little deflated with the whole experience to be honest, and left a little bewildered and puzzled as to how it would all work. As a wedding venue, it's not for us - just our opinion of course. What i didn't appreciate was the owner phoning up and being verbally aggressive to my fiancee leaving her shaken and upset when we asked for a refund of the £25. Not very professional at all, to be honest - it showed the owners true colours and we are glad that we chose not to use this venue as we wouldn't want to deal with him. The 1 star rating is for these reasons. As I said, not for us but maybe...

I booked a 20-minute flight experience with TheDeck747 for my boyfriend back in November as a Christmas present, hoping it would help with his fear of flying. The experience was today, but it turned out to be an absolute disaster.
To start, we had to take an hour-long train and a taxi to get there, as it's quite far from where we live. Unfortunately, we were running 5 minutes late due to train strikes and heavy traffic. Our instructor, Ben, called to inform us that any time we were late would be deducted from our experience time. I asked if there was any way we could rebook or if something could be done given the circumstances, but Ben was extremely rude and unhelpful. He seemed to take joy in the fact that we'd barely have any experience time left, which left me feeling really upset.
A few minutes later, another person from TheDeck747 called me. He had an Irish accent, and I initially thought he might be calling to help resolve the situation. Instead, he repeated everything Ben had said and spoke over me every time I tried to explain our situation. He was even ruder than Ben, dismissing my concerns and calling me a liar because, according to him, Ben isn’t rude (apparently because they're friends). This call served no purpose other than to upset me further.
We ended up directing the taxi straight back to the station and taking the next train home, completely ruining our day.
Why would TheDeck747 book experiences back-to-back with no grace period, especially when their location is so inconvenient for anyone without a car? There was nothing in the reminder email indicating we needed to be there 10 minutes early—only a small line at the bottom of the original booking email from November (it’s now June).
I can’t comment on the actual flight experience because we never got to do it, which is a huge blow given how outrageously expensive it was for just 20 minutes. However, the customer service was hands down the worst I’ve ever experienced. The staff are clearly quite young and seem to take joy in ganging up on anyone with a complaint, being outrageously unhelpful.

Read moreWas taken ill with a sickness bug and messaged a bit b4 our 3pm slot to say wouldn't make it as I didn't wanna spread anything. Told we would loose our money. [ yes a last minute cancellation but I held off in the hope it subsided. Told even had we cancelled yesterday we would have lost everything. So the timescale didn't matter . Could have excepted a small fee but doing the right thing and staying away results in a loss of £150
Update Received a call begging me to remove this review by the owner I explained my reasons for not attending but he was more bothered about the review than his staff members becoming ill because if I'd have turned up sick it could have spread which I didn't want . Sadly saying he would loose thousands as a result of this review but prepared to get a bad review than taking the small hit and continuing the good reviews. eventually offering me 50% off .£150 still this is a to us is a lot of money to loose but he says thousands on his business! Then do the right thing and I'd remove the review A owner more bothered about his business than his staff becoming ill .
Next time I book something and feel ill I will turn up and say nothing possibly spreading my illness.. They say the have staff there it's open all day so staff are on site anyway. Like I say I could excepted a small fee but to lose everything is disappointing. Morale is go even if your feeling unwell and say nothing or be prepared to loose everything. A 20% discount just doesn't cut it thanks for nothing
Think carefully before booking this remember there's another similar one in Stockport maybe worth looking at..if your ill remember to be ill at least 48hrs prior so u may get a re-booking .otherwise just show up manager will except you...
