Visited from Swansea for the first time, the journey was quick and parking was right at the front and free, it is a lovely area with plenty of shops for refreshments, clean toilets and more. In contrast, it is a far better experience than visiting Blackpill Lidl in Swansea, a trip to Blackpill is very tiresome and sometimes takes up to an hour to travel 2 miles and struggle to find parking in a council car park. Aberavon Aqua Splash did not have that issue and is far better than Blackpill in Swansea, not just by a small part either, it is drastically 100x better. Can’t post photos of the Splash park for obvious reasons, but here are some gorgeous photos looking over Swansea Bay which can be enjoyed from the promenade which the Aqua Splash is on.

A superb water park, available for free, right next to the beach. A great place to wash off the sand or to enjoy on a hot day. The water is chlorinated and there are many water features. This was a huge hit with the kids who loved it and would have spent all day here, every day! And it was 18 degrees! So I can imagine how popular it is when hotter. I think it’s fanatic that the council has this available for free, it’s a real highlight to a visit here.

Brand New splash park, excellent for families on sunny days, Can get busy, parking nearby free or pay by the hour. Opposite remos so food and drink establishment nearby. Excellent for the younger children. Open daily weather permitting 10 am until 7pm ,Toilets in the splash park.

Babies absolutely loved this. The 3 yo wouldn't go on the water but the 4yo and my sister spent hours running round the features loving it! I even had a quick go myself with my daughter. Staff there were lovely, ice creams fairly reasonably priced in the shop and tasty too! There's toilets on site but not actual changing rooms though there is a disabled shower room, outdoor shower and baby change! I just used the hand dryers in the bathrooms to help the kids warm up when they were finished personally. Amazing place my 4yo keeps telling me she wants her waterpark and my 3yo can't stop talking about how fun it was- definitely recommend. Free fun day out, only thing to be mindful of is that there are no gates on the entrance so if like me your child is a running escapist be prepared to run or use reins as there is a very busy road just outside should they manage to make it that far! Other than...

Amazing to have a free facility like this! I wish we had one where I live! The kid's had a great time here. There were 2 'lifeguards' (?) sitting and watching. This in all honesty felt a bit daft and not a good use of money. I can't see how they are needed, as with any park- accidents will happen but this is inevitable and parents responsibility. There were no areas of standing water, just fountains. The loos were filthy, which was a shame. Having someone clean these rather than sitting and watching the splash pad would be more useful. Also unless you have a disabled toilet key you can't used the baby changing facilities which was quite annoying so just had to change my daughter...
