I was initially confused as I thought The Barony Centre was still a religious building, but it's actually a fascinating space, well worth a visit. It features contemporary exhibitions and includes a lovely café. There’s also a regular program of classes and groups that you can join. The centre is part of Craft Town, which is a trail featuring around 10 art studio shops spread across the high street in a one-mile radius. Each shop is run by local artists who create their own crafts, host workshops, and sell their art. The best time to visit Craft Town is from Thursday to Saturday, as that's when the artists are present in their studio shops. You can meet them, chat about their work, and get a real sense of the creativity in the community. The quality of artistic presentation is exceptional throughout.

A really exciting place to visit! The shop has lots of locally-made art and crafts that make brilliant gifts for friends and family. The café provides delicious wholesome food - soups, sandwiches, quiches and to-die-for cakes! There are ever-changing exhibitions and workshops to keep the kids amused. The transformation from stark Presbyterian church to exciting art venue has been sympathetic and dynamic. Reasonable parking nearby and a short walk.

A superb award winning venue. Great exhibitions, a fabulous space for meetings, workshops and events. A historic town with a great atmosphere. The volunteer staff are very friendly indeed.

Lovely building with many Arts and Crafts on display from local artists. The cafe was overpriced. We ordered lentil soup and half a sandwich. Lentil soup was actually carrot soup and I paid £2.75 for a sandwick which was a single slice of bread (that came with soup anyway) and a few crisps. An elderly lady asked for some hot water and was reluctantly given it. Apoarently she should have bought another pot of tea!! Very disappointed with lunch but definitely recommend visiting to...

Had lunch with two friends. Excellent! Quiche to die for.Sald crispy and fresh with a beautiful light vinaigrette dressing. Home baking amazing. Prices very reasonable. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Absolutely spotless. Art Gallery and Jewellery and Gift store well worth browsing. All handcrafted. Staff in shop very pleasant. Well worth visiting. Parking adjacent to The Barony - slight incline on approach so keep that in mind for those with...
