My daughter and hubby and I went on the wee ferry with the friendly Ferryman and his beautiful Dog .Trip about 20mins to Cromarty .It had started to rain very heavy so we went to the Cromarty Courthouse museum .The Spanish lady the attendant gave us some info sheets .No charge all donations welcome .We went a wee wander lots of Exhibits regarding Cromarty.We then made our way up to the Courthouse.There was a courthouse scene and a trial from 1700s a drunken brawl in an inn .The scene was set out with the legal eagles .The waxwork figures ( just like Tussaud’s ) it was very interesting and entertaining.. The lad mckenzie on trial .We went downstairs to the Jail ,.The courtyard the prisoners had their daily exercise .We all enjoyed the visit .Happy to pop in a donation .So don’t miss this if your on Cromarty .A small gift shop too .
