Nice little urban park. Reservoir is rather smaller than you might think a "reservoir" would be. Several platforms for anglers around the edge and a dedicated anglers' car park (although the gate was locked when we visited). Footpaths around the reservoir and through the woods can get pretty muddy in places. There are a couple of maps of the park posted (at the main car park and near the reservoir) but it'd be useful to have a leaflet for the pathways away from the reservoir circuit. Football pitches adjacent to the main car park and a good sized kids play park nearby with a picnic benches. There is also an exercise area for adults/older kids but most of the equipment was missing when we visited (possibly removed over the winter months). Swans, Mallards and Moorhens on the reservoir and a little waterfall on the Neil Burn beside...

This play park is great for kids of all ages, with climbing games, shutes, swings etc, no sand pits anymore, which is a shame, but I guess it was removed due to the high level of cleanliness required by the council, due to rubbish deposited by those who didn't look after it properly. It is particularly good for your wee footballers, as there are permanent goal posts. Good for wildlife walks and bird spotting, including resident swans. There is a stream that runs through it that lends to a wee tiny waterfall under a foot bridge and into a lovely wee lochan, with a great walk all around and fishing decks at many intervals. An Important note is there are no toilet facilities and take your own snacks / picnic or disposable BBQ - Be responsible, take your rubbish to the bins provided or deposit on your way home or...

I took my 2 year old to this park today, ideally it is a good park in its self, my one and only concern is when yoyr walking next to the water it could be more safe, maybe barriers, as my baby is 2 and all he wanted to do was jump in the dirty water ( for fishers ) understood but a bit more safty wouldnt harm anyone, me second concern is the big hills in the park, I think there way to high but other than that...

Tbh Iโ€™ve never seen kids burn off this much energy in one place ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’ฅ Welcome to Bounce in the Park โ€“ basically heaven for ages 3 to 14 and pure chaos (in the best way). Think: giant inflatable obstacle courses, slides, bouncy castles, and enough space for your little tornado to go full zoomie mode ๐ŸŒ€๐Ÿ’จ Itโ€™s non-stop fun, pure squeals, and just the right amount of safe mayhem ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐ŸŒˆ Parents: bring snacks, comfy shoes, and your chill โ€” the kids will not want to leave ๐Ÿ˜… But good news? We headed down to the local park this morning with Kodi boy to do a little exercise. As always Leah wants to get involved, whether that's taking part in an exercise, running about with Kodi, or throwing his ball. As you can see most of the games we play are focus based, and not just launching a ball back and forth. We get him active, but he's got to keep his mind switched on too. Although at this point he's knackered, as he'd been running around and playing tug! ๐Ÿ˜‚ Anyway enjoy the video! #germanshepherd #gsd #germanshepherdworld #germanshepherdsoftiktok #scottishgermanshepherd #tiktokgermanshepherds #armourcaninetraining #dogtrainer #DogTraining #dogplaying #dogvideo #dogfun #belugalagoon @Tug-E-Nuff

I love this park, its beautiful all year round. Great for kids, dog walking and fishing. Loads of trails throgh woodland and around the reservoir. Lot of wildlife including swans, ducks, birds and squirrels. Theres an adventure playground for the little ones and lots of open spaces for football and field sports. Car parking available and the park is open all year round and is free to all visitors.
