Not a lot here, a couple of football pitches and a viewpoint at the top of the hill with an information board on the history of Herbertshire Castle and the park. A mystery why there is nothing similar at the car park. There are walks along the River Carton, but they run a little bit distant from the water. If you go far enough West, after passing under the M80, there is an obvious route down to a rocky beach at a bend in the river. There were several Grey Wagtails catching insects here when we visited.

We planned this outing for an out of school club. After researching the location on the Falkirk Counil website we decided that there was plenty on offer to entertain the children for a number of hours. However after arriving at Herbertshire Park we quickly realised that this would not be the case. Contrary to the website, there was no; car park, floral display, historical features (expect a church across the road), picnic tables, skateboard and BMX park, wildflowers meadows or pavilion. We were extremely disappointed and evidently only spent an hour here. The map could have detailed better the locations of the places above, or some of these items could be removed from...

In the picture it's the Denny gala it's held every year it's went down hill over the year's as it was a great wee day out for all the families back years ago now thay are trying to bring it back but it's to expensive these day for instance 5 years ago I got a burger out the van and it was a bloody £5...
