Melville Golf Centre, Trackman Range — Attraction in Scotland

I absolutely love coming here! The booking system is so easy to use and you can see at a glance how busy the place is. The bays are always in good condition and the staff are always available to help with anything you need. I love that you dont have to worry about running out of balls. You can book a wee half hour and just bash through a bucket of balls or take your time and focus on specific learning techniques.

The staff are unbelievably helpful and friendly and are more than happy to offer advice if you want it. I mainly see Thomas when I'm there who can never do enough to make sure you have everything you need. He is so friendly and such a good laugh. John is also very nice and super helpful.

I have recently started taking lessons from Alan who has been great. I am a very nervy person and he has helped my confidence grow immensely. He never fails to greet me with a smile and ask how I'm getting on. I had been going to the driving range for ages with no instruction and there was very little improvement. Since starting lessons with Alan my game is like night and day. Massive improvement in everything. Im so happy with the improvement that I'm now taking regular lessons.

I feel comfortable here and know that if I need help with anything then I'll get it. I wish I could give this...

Went to the Melville Golf Centre for the first time in 5 or 6 years only to see what Toptracer was all about... Toptracer itself was great! Pity about the terrible golf balls I was issued!

It costs £12.50 for an hour if you turn up without booking online. £10-50 if you book online via the website? What's that all about?

As i went to use Toptracer in the first place it goes without saying that i want to be hitting at least reasonable golf balls, afterall I'm looking to know how well I'm hitting the ball. How far am i hitting the ball? But NO, I was hitting very poor quality balls majority of the time which left me feeling ripped off as I had no Idea how well or how far I was hitting the ball.

Apparently you can PAY extra for "Handpicked" golfballs! But for me, they should be included in the price! The guys are nice and friendly but the poor golf balls just let the whole thing down for me!

Unfortunately I have to travel 30 mins or so to get there so will I be back? Probably NOT! Unless they issue REAL...

New arrangements, online booking, caught us out when we just turned up but we got a bay for £8 to hit as many balls as we can. Then our time ran out after 30 min, a helluva shock to me. Not a price I would pay again for such a short time. Maybe should just get 50 balls and pay less if possible. Will know better to plan ahead as any decent golfer knows that you should take your time at the range but we felt very rushed, only hit 47 balls or so with adjustments to swing and rest in between every 5 balls. Nice new bays with some that provided a tracer screen. Balls looked pretty gash, not sure if premium balls are available but I haven't checked the website yet, nor had time to ask before we practised. A bit disappointed but we will give it a go another time and see what fun we can...
