Literally a hop skip and jump from the main street. This little gem is a place to take in the view and meditate on the fact that the universe got it right when making Scotland so pretty. Please be mindful of the local wildlife aka the grounds man/sheep. The remains of this ruin have a terrific vista across the small town of Tarbert and out to the east over Loch Fyne. The castle is maintained by the local community and the 3 or 4 Hebridean sheep employed as lawnmowers. Very well kept. A great place but no shelter from wet/windy weather. Well worth a visit in...
