We parked in the parking area next to the book shop and cafe, which is quite big but did have several cars indicating the popularity of this area. Taking a pathway out of the carpark towards the beach takes you to a walk/cycling path that has several destinations (see signpost) and a good surface to travel along. We passed over this and kept to the track to the beach which is signposted by what seems like handmade signs, even so we easily found our way to the beach. Due to the tide and weather the beach was more stony than sandy and a good set of waves were building in the strong wind, that said it is a vast shoreline and a good walk if you want to go end to end. Returning to the carpark there are bins for litter and pet waste which saved taking it home. All in all a good walking area and recommended for a visit

The water was warm , shallow & dog friendly ( please clean mess up to continue this ) stunning quite beach , not very long , but a nice walk , free parking across the road in woodland, but a busy road so put your dog's on a lead till you walk over it & then safe to let off .. there's a caravan site near by & I saw a adventure park with zip lines like a go ape .. We went a couple of times it was perfect to walk the dog's. Recommend.

You can walk along the beach coming in from tralee Bay holiday park and coming out at the far end to reach the Ben lora cafe on the main road. Plenty of dog walkers and wild swimmers and also cows grazing off the shore line.

Lovely beach, with views over to Dunbeg and the Lorn coastal area. The tops of the Connel bridge can be spied on a clear day.

Oban hides around the corner but you can make out the back of Kerrera and if you walk to the far left side, the edge of Mull.

Often one of the more quiet beaches around but perhaps with more reviews like this maybe not...
