Nice place to call for nice food and a bit of a leg stretch, the cafe is excellent, clean, excellent menu, first class waiter service yet very competitive prices, plus wheelchair friendly and disabled persons toilet. There is good shopping for holiday travelers with a fully stocked farm shop and a sell all shop to buy anything from a frying pan to a camping chair. There's also a brewery and an antique centre but there is an entrance fee to the antique center and I didn't check out the brewery but they do tours and even weddings and aniversary celebrations but we only stopped for a holiday trip bite to eat and we were married 56 years ago so too late for that one but maybe check it out for our diamond wedding if we're still here in four years time. Plenty of free parking toilets and grass to walk your dog. Plenty of outdoor seating to relax with your own snappin and flask of tea. It's a bit of a long detour from the M6 but no traffic queues, maybe add 15 to 20 mins to your overall stop, no fuel fill but there is a good standard priced shell station on the route, if you prefer motorway services then that's OK as some are getting to a very high level of gormet level food from around the world. But I still look for off the motorway stops myself, this is made so much easier these days with Google maps you can search areas approx half way in your journey for you favourite pub grub or restaurant and add the rout to your phone home screen days before your journey then tap the icon when you are due to go and bingo your off on your stress...

Read moreWe visit here for mainly the playground which has facilities for young pre school children to teens. The playground i would describe as one of the largest we have been to. My 5 year old went on everything from pirate ship, small slide to the large tower slide, with enclosed sides to swings and a small zip wire made for kids. The ground under the equipment is trip safe and the whole park is fenced off with security gates. The equipment is well kept and well laid out so you can see your child all over. There are a few bench and table sets to sit at for adults or kids taking refreshments. There is a snack shop and the toilets are in the football sports block. I would recommend this playground for a few hours of fun. The car parking area is shared with the swimming pool and is...
