Iād always assumed this was a Micropub of some sort - actually a fairly large pub with a good selection of food and drink.
Visited Saturday evening. Not as busy as previous pubs and had a table free for food. Great menu, with sharing platters and pizzas. Had mozzarella sticks, halloumi fries and chicken strips - the holy trinity being appropriate for Easter time. All hot and tasty. Wanted sticky toffee pudding, but didnāt have the time.
The beer was San Miguel. Spanish beer brewed in Northampton. Northampton is very dull; thankfully that doesnāt affect this beer.
Only the one gaming machine - one of the old mechanical ones with lots of pictures of Noel Edmonds on it. I donāt understand those at all, so stayed clear. Is Noel Edmonds still a thing? š¤
Overall decent. Will return and try...

Pretty busy when we walked in ,(around 8ish) loads of real ale selections and the atmosphere was very friendly . The wife started looking at the menu (we hadnāt planned to eat out ) and you could see plenty of folk tucking into food. The wife ordered homemade kievs (wow!!) I ordered the gammon . The lovely lady who served us (sorry didnāt get her name ) was so nice . Even allowing me to have egg and pineapple with my gammon . Food was fantastic , 2 empty plates . Very reasonably priced . I donāt really leave reviews but it was more about the service the lady gave , so nice to see . Absolute credit to herself and the company . Weāll be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTea time local...We have eaten here on several occasions in the last few years and are happy to recommend the food as its really so delicious offering the usual pub favourites as well as regular food special events. It's a small 'no fuss' local with customers of all ages. The chef works hard and the food is always full of flavour...we particularly enjoy the Sunday roast. The meat is always perfectly cooked and gravy to die for š.
The service is friendly and very helpful and if you nip in when it's chilly the log fire sets a really cosy atmosphere.
They also have a good choice of beers at great prices as well as having some drinks offers.
If you've driven or walked passed on many occasions then next time give it a go - you won't be disappointed in...
