Really lovely park! It has multiple different routes to go depending how long you’d like to walk for. Unfortunately, I did get lost but that was because of my own fault as I strayed from the path and needed to go through private land to get out 😂 stick to the map routes and the signage posts and it’s a lovely way to get your steps in. Everybody is really lovely also, and I’ve not come across any aggressive dogs. There is enough parking, but I have only been there when the cafe and farm has been closed.

Edit:

Many dogs off leash and I was chased recently by a dog where an owner couldn’t recall their pooch. Unfortunately this was only a one off experience in the two years I’ve been going to this park.

I’ve also gone to the farm and ordered a coffee where I’ve sat outside in the sunshine and is really nice and chilled albeit...

If you want to talk your dog out, or go for a run, or tale the kids out for a few hours you couldn't find a better place.

There are several areas, some open grass and others woode. Various wood sculptures are dotted around, and there is a small lake dogs love swimming in.

Free parking is an added bonus.

It can get muddy when it has been raining, so don't forget your wellies.

Dog owners on the whole are respectful and it is not a problem to have your dog off the lead, as long as you are sensible and ensure your dog doesn't bothers.

It gets busy on a Saturday or Sunday so get there early to get a parking spot. That said, I haven't had a problem so far but I have heard from others that have.

Saturday morning is Parkrun so from 8 until about...

We went here on a whim but absolutely enjoyed every moment. The staff were attentive and understandable. We were supporting an Individual on holidays and she loved it so much. The staff who were being supported was so good friendly and we felt welcomed by them. A shout out to esther who we fell in love with 😘. The animals looked really good and definitely well fed as we tried to feed them but they wasn't hungry. We thought that the project they were working on for a sensory garden was such a good idea not just for people who needs it but for others who can understand why and enjoy it. We would definitely be back and also recommend here to everyone. Thankyou to everyone for making our experience a...

The park includes Hope Nature Centre, which by any other name is a farm park and childrens activity centre. Many varied farm animals which children can get close too, great play areas for 5 - 12 year olds in particular, a "land train ride" around the park, a woodland walk and picnic areas. Several on going developments to facilities are underway which can currently restrict access to some areas. Covid restrictions mean the shop and café are currently closed, but limited food and drink can still be purchased on site. A great day out for the family, particularly on a warm sunny day.

It's a nice quiet walk around a large grass area of about a mile on a gravel level'ish path. Bit dumpy on a portable mobility scooter but taken slowly it okay. There are a couple of large ponds on the way round to view. Also there are other grass walks leading off the main path. At the end of the walk is the Hope Park with animals to keep the kids amused and a cafe with toilet facilities. Southwick is free but you pay to enter to animal park area. Two cars are available. A small one for the country park and a larger one next to the cafe and Hope animal area.
