Read moreThe beach is spectacularly beautiful and spotlessly clean with beautiful powdery sand and crystal clear water. We walked from St.Ives on the coast path and it's just beautiful. I would definitely give it 5 stars for the beach itself but have taken off a star because it's ridiculously underserved. There is a posh restaurant and the hotel itself, and the beach restaurant which does serve lovely food when it's open if you want a nice meal, but if you just want an ice cream, a sandwich or a coffee or bottle of water there's nothing. You literally have to bring everything with you because there genuinely isn't even an ice cream van! Maybe it's different in the height of Summer but we were there on a sunny Saturday in March and there was nothing. Even the beach restaurant was closed for a private function! It wouldn't put me off visiting but just be aware that you have to bring enough food, drinks etc for the day as you won't be able to buy...
Read moreA lovely spot. Plenty of parking options but the most convenient (and perhaps most expensive) is if you drive right down to the beach and park in the Carbis Bay Hotel. At the time of writing this is a £10 flat rate for the whole day (not unreasonable considering the other options available). This beach is less built up than the beaches at St. Ives, but still has some food and drink outlets, a restaurant overlooking the bay and toilets etc. There is also a Tesla Destination Charger (not marked on the Tesla charging map) but this is not.particularly well policed and expect the space to be blocked by non Tesla cars! The beach is clean, nice golden sand and the sea is clean and clear. It is a gentle slope towards the sea and felt a very safe beach for our 3 year old twins to play. I would certainly recommend and will be sure to...
