You cannot go inside the lighthouse, but you are able to view it. There are beautiful views around the lighthouse. You cannot view inside it but can walk around it. There is a small amount of parking outside, off road and a small carpark ( boat cove car park) further on, though this one isn't for the faint hearted as it is close to the cliff edge. To walk around here, I would highly recommend stout shoes/ walking boots and a walking pole as the ground is very uneven in places, or has loose stone. In high winds or bad weather it could be dangerous if care isn't taken. There is a pathway to boat cove which is a steep track to it. This isn't a bathing cove as small fishing boats are kept here. There is a beach close by Portherras cove is about half an hour's walk away. You need to be fit, and be able to clamber over rocks...

Rode down and parked up, went for a walk and was more than pleasantly surprised by what we found, the views are stunning, even though one side of the cliffs were scared from Geevor Mine(well worth a visit too) This place is a dream for photographers and artists, it's stunning. Unfortunately the Light House isn't open to the public but you can see all round it and walk past n down the coastal path to the cove. When out touring on the Motorcycles, if we're passing, me thinks we'll be stopping here again for a rest....
Read moreA beautiful lighthouse and grounds open to the public and built on the top of a fantastically stunning piece of coastline, with long vistas that include historical mining buildings of Cornwalls past.
A great place to visit on a summer's day with a picnic and a camera to take home memories of visit.
The lighthouse is a wonderful structure to explore and is one of the buildings that are a tribute to Trinity House and its staff both past and present.
Pop along and really broaden your holiday horizon and enjoy this truly...
