Beautiful - Like a mini St Tropez with crystal waters, glistening sands and amazing shoreline. You can get a ferry across to Padstow or a heated Water Taxi on selected evenings. There is a surf shop at the beginning of the sands and lovely boutique eateries dotted along the road leading to the carpark. Be warned though, the main carpark at the end of the road is extremely busy and usually rammed until later afternoon when the weather is good. Best to try early in the day or later afternoon if you want to secure a space. There are public free toilets too in the carpark, but take you own tissues lol as they get raided. You can walk up along the winding narrow path behind the toilets and down steps that take you on to the main beach area - if you continue walking ahead you reach an area of the beach where you can look over the sea towards Portreath. It's so relaxing to watch the boats coming and going along the shoreline. If you do park 15mins outside of the beach and wall down, take care - the cars speed around the narw road and can suddenly stop...

Made a flying stop & thought I would take a chance..

Parking Limited parking to about 60 cars & parking spaces are on the narrow side so beware owners of Chelsea tractors and larger vehicles.

The beach 2 min walk from car park & down a sandy path & steps.. The video was taken at the foot of the steps on the beach, when the tide was on its way out. A unique beach with clean water, soft sprinkle sand & not too windy. Obv this could vary depending on how exposed your chosen place to pitch. Lots of fun for the kids playing with the sand and small rocks etc.

Other info.. The public loo was rather smelly so I decided to avoid using that & parking is coin or by the "RinGo" app. 1 hour on the app was £1.33. paying via coin would have been £1. As we enjoyed it, we extended the parking duration via the app which was handy.

Phone signal & internet Finally I experienced good 3g internet signal so able to post this from the...

Lovely beach on any day, but wonderful on a sunny day at low tide. Good for dog walking. (Dog waste bins are located at the car park) A small car park is located within easy reach of the beach with options for steps or a ramp down to the beach. Car parking fees are by coin or App (RingGo etc.) Public toilets are located towards the rear of the car park. The passenger Ferry to Padstow arrives and departs from the slipway. A great place for a walk or to spend the day taking in the beautiful view. Recommended.
