Whilst there's usually the roar of the A5 nearby there's usual quite a variety of wildlife to see.
Notices near the car park point to dragonfly, whilst I normally associate them with late summer days we caught sight a few today.
You can head down into Ouse Valley Park from here or loop around the ponds, mostly hidden from sight except for what can be seen from the Bird Hides.

The walk to the iron bridge follows the river. You can stop and have a paddle kids and dogs love it. Well worth a Sunday...
