From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was simply lovely – warm, inviting, and with a real buzz about the place. The staff were an absolute credit to the restaurant; incredibly attentive, genuinely friendly, and they made us feel welcome and well looked after throughout our meal. 1st time visit so review taken on the day, very noisy venue could not chat to accompanying friends without raising your voice. The table service was very good, and did not feel rushed which I liked. The decor was very tidy and had a nice cosy feel, perhaps a little snug between tables if I was to be honest. When they were serving the food on table opposite, the waitress was actually touching our table so it is snug in places. The food is average compared to other Italian restaurants I have been too, my Calzone was at best mediocre and was not the best I have had, but it was well cooked. The menu stated it was spicy, have to say it was not so a bit disappointed. The drinks like beer and wine were a tad on the pricy side, but the coffee was great. As for Deserts for those that had it I did feel that almost £8 for ice cream was a bit steep, as was a wine glass with Panna cotta for the same price, pretty...
