A really interesting house where you can learn about an inspirational man who did so much for health care in mid 1800s. He had lots of interests and realised after studying cuckoos and hedgehogs things we know that we don’t Wonder how we know it. Well it was Mr Jenner and his curiosity. The garden is lovely and still has the hut where small pox vaccines were carried out on the whole village. An amazing structure . The physic garden is small but so full of life I have never seen so many different species of bee in one place , loving the marjoram. The Volunteers are passionate about the house and spreading the genius of Dr Jenner , he was also a gracious man. The house is owned by a trust so they welcome any support if that means a visit or new volunteers . The village of Berkeley is very picturesque , the church is also worth a visit which is adjoining . Berkeley castle is also next door.

Read moreLearning about Edward Jenner in school, I was always intrigued to find out more about him. I was so happy visiting his home and learning more about the smallpox vaccine pioneer! The garden is lovely too, it's delightful to see how medical treatment has changed over the years!
Staff inside the house/museum was really lovely too. We pre-booked our tickets for 16:00 but arrived 30mins early, it was no problem to enter the house early.
