A journey of a handful of stairs ending at a windswept view of an enchanted beach and tranquil land. A gift shop, heartfelt and warm at the bottom of the tower starts the flight of black iron spiral stairs with each floor revealing history and art. Peculiarities, beauty and artifacts that leaves a wondering soul filled with a certain embrace realising that ones own wonderful and weird extravagance is mirrored similarly outward on these curved walls, crevices and window ledges.
The balcony at the top, a crown form with higher points and lower you can look over and gaze at the views unfolded in front of you. Stand just right at one of the troughs and a powerful breeze will blow right through you, a breeze that will clean the very debris out of your soul.
It takes less than a few minutes if you were to run up the stairs and back down again, yet any wondering soul knows a place like this is appreciated, understood and loved at a much slower pace. Have coffee or tea or a little brunch at the lower levels, and enjoy, immerse and ponder the incredible artwork, recent history of the tower and ancient history from found fossils on each floor. Almost all you see inside the tower has a little price tag and description on or near it, so if your heart so desires, allow yourself to purchase a piece or few.
Our stay was only a short hour or so, but for a wondering soul, the place and people felt such true warmth, it's a feeling thats better experienced than described.
On a slightly more comical note, the pay to park machines are quite complicated and takes careful attention to get through to its end. Press accurately the correct coloured buttons on each step to get that most crucially important little white ticket. The fare is most fair for the durations, and best of luck with the machines.
The area that surrounds the tower is a green, an informative gift shop, a coffee truck, a shed like canopy with a doggy something... (humm, can't quite remember), and a stunningly emotive soft sand coastline beach.
Tred gently, and take as long...
