Nice place to visit. To the right of the steps down the cliff you have sandy beaches at low tide, to the left, towards the crumbling cliffs you have steps down to the beach that's part sand and part rocks. Both beaches dissappear at high tide with the steps down to the left hand side beach, under the crumbling cliff, covered by the sea... Look for tide times before you go, or its a bad scramble up a dangerous cliff or rock jumping to get back to the car park. Sharks teeth, shells and fossil wood can be found in the shingle with the fossil wood being everywhere. Teeth and shells take a little time to find. Low tide you have rock pools, collapsed pill boxes that have crashed down the cliff face and a nice walk along the beach. Takes about an hour to complete a loop from the cliff stairs, along the beach and back up through the heath land. Also, don't stand near the cliff edge. This might sound silly but the edge is not the edge.. The cliff has an undercut so you will probably only have 50cm of ground underneath your feet and then open air. Don't go splat, watched a whole family line up on the edge once, nice way to go. Be careful of the mud, it can be deep and very sticky.

My self and my family love this place, either walking up on top of the cliffs or down on the beach when the tide is out hunting for shark teeth, The stairs are steep comming down but we'll worth it in my opinion. Loads of space to park (you have to pay).there is a little cafe serving hot and cold food and drink with inside and out side seating.

My boy and my 2 cocker spaniels love a stroll from naze tower down to the beach and we walk up to blackwater if we are lucky we can walk out on the sand bar. Ofter looking out for the Seals and hunting for crabs etc under the rocks and rockpools

Or "Dinosaur Beach". You are guaranteed to find a bucket of fossils from 2 to 50 million years old. Imagine being the first human to uncover the remains of a living creature, untouched since the dawn of time! There is also viking irrigation piping to find, a lost Stone age settlement, a petrified forest, a WW1 shooting range (where you can find discarded bullets), remains of a mysterious railway, and a host of abandoned WW2 pill boxes which can be explored at low tide. Throw in stunninf views of the shipping at Felixstowe, rock pools to explore, and the usual fun to be had on a sandy beach, and you have a recipe for an...

A great place to visit. Wonderful views and the facilities at the car park are superb. Lots of foods and drink options and seating available inside and out. Parking is plentiful and not too expensive. The area and beaches here are dog friendly, but please be aware, "dogs are banned from areas on the beach from 1 May to 30 September. These areas are; from the Pier to end of The Parade opposite Suffolk Street and North east from Percival Road to Naze Park Road" (copied from thebeachguide). With the Naze Tower here and the local walks, it's well...
