I recently took my three-year-old to Ballymoney Museum to see the Safari Exhibition, and we had such a fantastic experience! It’s wonderful to have a local museum that is not only informative but also engaging for young children.
One of the highlights for us was the hands-on activity, where my daughter got to make her very own sloth picture. She absolutely loved this creative experience, and it was a great way to make the visit interactive and memorable. I really appreciate museums that encourage learning through play, and Ballymoney Museum does this brilliantly.
Another fantastic feature is the small play area in the centre of the museum. It’s the perfect space for little ones to use their imagination while exploring. There’s dress-up clothes, books, explorer toys, and more, making it an inviting and fun place for children to engage with history and storytelling. It was lovely to see my daughter so immersed in imaginative play, and it meant we could enjoy the museum at a relaxed pace.
The museum itself is well laid out, welcoming, and very family-friendly. The staff were helpful and approachable, making the visit even more enjoyable. It’s a hidden gem in Ballymoney, and I would highly recommend it to families looking for an affordable, fun, and educational day out. We will definitely be back for future...
