There are plenty of places for blue badge parking at the cafe car park where the RSPB information area is. The staff there are equally welcoming, informative, and friendly. There are accessible toilets in the cafe. All the food we saw looked freshly done and nice but we'd packed a lunch so didn't eat there on the day we went! We did have a cheeky iced treat though, there is a choice of ice cream, vegan sorbets, and even doggy ice cream to cool everyone down on a hot day... which it most definitely was on the day we went! Most welcome and enjoyed 😋 The accessible walk is from the lower car park, there are only a few blue badge spots here as it's a smaller car park...all blue badge parking in the relevant bays are free, otherwise it was paid parking! It is mostly a flat surface for those with mobility issues, a slight accent coming back if you're in a wheelchair and may need a bit of assistance! There are benches along the walk to stop and rest as well. There was an abundance of guillemot on the cliff face, which was a sight and sound to behold. From the viewpoint, you can see the stairs down the cliff to the lighthouse. They are quite impressive, and I can see why they literally take people breath away! There are a few trails to walk for those...

First off. No dogs allowed. So be warned. It's a long way down and back up for nothing otherwise.....

A member of our party waited with our dog at the entry to the light house, that was ok for us but may not be an option for others. £10 per person for entry to the lighthouse .......only Cash 💸 💰 and it's a long way down to be sent back. A few people were sent back due to not having Cash.

Lighthouse is good. Guided talk up top about the bulb and floating mercury platform thingy. Anyway if anything it killed a few hours and gave us a thirst and ice cream hunger at the big cafe you pass on the way back. Car park is ticketed.. There's an app you can download if signal permits... Contactless too and obviously Cash.

It's a must if you're in the area and if you're fit and able enough. It's a tough walk down and back up on a dry windy day. But I guess a tad treacherous if wet. All in all a nice few hours. I've seen it twice in 22years. It'll probably be my last. 😉 First picture is about the fees. They're all wrong as of August bank holiday 2024. £10 adult Cash only 🤔

By the way the rock climber I took pics of. Has got some serious gonads. Well done you mister 👏 Five...

What a beautiful place 😍 was worth the long trip. There are two average size car parks with pay and display we didn't have any issues parking was £6 for all day. There are also a few parking places spotted around up the lane also pay and display. The main car park had an information centre which was very informative, there were toilets a lovely cafe where we were were greeted by friendly staff and had a lovely coffee with spectacular views overlooking the sea. There is also a gift shop inside. Plenty of walks in the surrounding areas and some amazing viewing points overlooking the lighthouse . The lighthouse itself is at the bottom of a whopping 400 steps which you also have to come back up we loved it. It's free to go to the bottom but if you want a tour of the island with the lighthouse which is well worth the visit there is a charge. Tickets can be found at the main centre where you can pay cash or card or you can pay at the lighthouse bridge but it is cash only there. If your a keen bird watcher then this is the spot for you we were lucky to see some puffins...

This is one of those places that will stay with you after visiting. The small island of Holyhead has a lot to offer including South Stack lighthouse, which sits at the bottom of approximately 480 steps (that's 480 back up too). At the bottom is a metal bridge which connects the lighthouse island to the cliffs. So if you're faint of heart you may struggle to get down then get across. There's always thrashing seas about a hundred feet below. Check before visiting the lighthouse, as it's not always open. If you're fit enough to get down there you'll be able to see the furrowed & buckled cliffs, created millions of years ago by volcanic upheaval. It's quite a sight. If you manage to get back up the cliffs and have some energy left there's Holyhead Mountain not far away to the East. Easily within walking distance. The views from the top are spectacular. The whole of Wales (up to the horizon) lies before you, with the Snowdonia Range in the distance to the south. Close by to the RSPB car park is a cafe, serving hot food.
