Is it time that the bread and butter users of this place (cyclists) said enough is enough and voted with their pockets? To be clear: My one star rating is not because it isn't a nice place. The one start is for clearly and blatantly rinsing people for every penny they can by way of inflexible parking costs and drawing cyclists there with claims that the trails are reds and a black. Week day parking has just gone up again and just in time for the summer holidays. It now costs £14.50 for anything over 30 minutes. The price hiking story continues at every turn once inside but at least you have a choice about that. I'm sure that cyclists are the largest group of customers here but they are forced to pay the same for one hours riding as a family taking the kids out for the day. As many people have pointed out, the cycling trail grades do not come close to resembling trails of the same the grade anywhere else. This in my opinion is false advertising. I know of people who have travelled far to ride the wealth of so called red trails and the so called black trail, only to be bitterly disappointed. For those looking to come from afar. The blue trail is a fire road and would be green anywhere else. The red trail is in my opinion green with a hint of blue here and there. The black is an easy red and it's about as exiting as...
Read moreFirst time I'd been here for about 12 years. It has changed A LOT. It is absolutely beautiful, they have made a real effort to landscape, and not in a horribly artifical way, it's really beautiful, and it gives way to a more natural forest walk as you move through it. The facilities are amazing. We didn't get a chance to use the tree top walk but it looked brilliant and would have loved to have done it. The parking is £14 for a car so it's definitely worth making a trip of it, picnic etc, if you go. But they have cheaper off peak times worth looking at too. I was pleasantly surprised, and would go again. Definitely...
Read moreWent to the park specifically to ride the family route a couple of times, so many dogs off their leads running out from the woods in front of us, felt sorry for the families trying to teach their children to ride their bikes they had the added difficulty of dogs not being controlled by their owners and making the children even more nervous and scared. We are dog owners ourselves, but if a park says dogs must be kept on leads then they should, it's that simple. Did write to Bedgebury but have not had no reply in 3 weeks, that...
