Marsh Villa Gardens — Attraction in Tywardreath and Par

An absolute delight! We visited Marsh Villa Gardens as part of a coach tour organised by a local garden centre - I won't identify the other gardens we visited but they are all well-known and we can honestly say this outshone them all. We find much of the comment and content of events such as Chelsea no more than pretentious waffle and MVG is the complete antidote. The achievements of Judith and Harvey Stevens are truly astonishing bearing in mind the problems they had to overcome. So much work has been put into this garden to make it the magical place it is now. The lovely couple who own it have done most of the work themselves, having moved into the house in the early eighties. I believe it has been passed down through several generations. Separate 'rooms', wiggly walks and nooks and crannies make this a delightful place to spend at least half a day.
