Beautiful long beach, mainly used in off peak season for dog walking, kept very clean compared to years ago, when tide is out the beach is more massive. Sand dunes backing off from the beach creates nice quiet areas and fun for the kids, even big ones like me.Coastal walks leading off the beach to other beaches. Toilets near by but are charged at 20p a time. Car park is a disaster full of pot holes and you still have to pay to park

April 1st - October 31st All days 9am to 5pm Up to 1 hour  - £0.70 1 to 2 hours - £1.40 2 to 3 hours - £2.20 3 to 4 hours - £2.90 24 hours - £4.10 All days 5pm - 9am No charge

Even though facilities are lacking and the cheek of paying for a disaster car park, the beach makes up for this sooooo much! It’s...

We’ve been holidaying in Cornwall for 23 years and I’m sad to say that this is not one of Cornwall’s usual lovely beaches. You do expect seaweed at the beach, there’s no argument there, but for some reason the seaweed here builds up and starts to decay creating a white foamy, slippery mess that stinks. The smell of the rotting seaweed coupled with the smell from the water treatment plant close by is something else. Having stayed for a week at the Par Sands Holiday park opposite the beach I was saddened to see that the Surfers Against Sewage app flagged discharges into the water meaning that going into the sea would have been risky. This is a good beach for dogs to run around in the dunes but sadly no good for...

Our favourite local beach!

It's a very flat beach so the water isn't deep, even at high tide

Not big waves so popular with paddle borders

It's a sandy beach with sand dunes and great rock pools to explore when the tide is out!

It's a popular dog friendly beach, but it's very clean, so there are no issues for families

Large car park, which is a pay and display, or you can pay online using the app

Toilets a few minutes walk from the beach

There is a coffee and an ice cream van there all year round. The pasty unit is only open from May onwards

But the ship Inn pub is only a 5 minute walk along the road, good food and...
