Museum of Watford (The MoW) — Attraction in Watford

Sad that the Museum site is going to be developed. This week is your last chance to visit this iconic Benskin's building before it moves to a new home. On Saturday 7th October from 12-1pm it will be the venue for Watford Writers as part of the Watford Fringe Arts Festival. The Watford Museum is a mirror of the city’s history and their citizens in the last two centuries of contemporary English history. We can discover trace elements about the Paleolithic tribes in the local, the Iron Age, Roman Britain, until the Victorian Era and the 20th century and the development of the new technologies and transports. Look if you have recently moved here or live here and want to know the history of Watford then this is the place for you. Shame that Cassiobury House had to be demolished along with those gates. You'll find all sorts of interesting facts and a whole assortment of memorabilia on this great town. I hear the museum will be moving soon to a different location, town hall.
