Loved finding this gorgeously decorated gourmet dessert/sweets bar! The atmosphere grabs you from the view inside to trailing gardens. When we first approached it at 10pm, it was packed and nearly chaotic busy. As we stood at the counter for 15 mins captured by the crafter make each different specialty delictable dessert, we were consistently approached if we'd like to order. We weren't sure what we wanted for each masterpiece made in front of our eyes was mouth-watering treasures! Once the crowd began to dissipate, we eventually asked the sever (as we still stood by the counter to order) many questions. We came close to some decisions when finally the manager approached and asked if he help us. I'm sure he was very curious why we have stood near the counter undecided for 20 mins! 😄 We finally made our choices and they were made to perfection We continued to chat with the manager who ended up being so kind. We chatted about why were in Watford and more about our journey experiences. His staff was very polite as well. The manager ended up giving us extra treats to try and we walked out towards our nearby airbnb. We went back two days later with another Englander and the manager remembered us and we visited again shortly. He allowed one of his servers chat with us for easily 15 mins which I really appreciated since we found a connection. The restaurant wasn't busy so I was thankful that we didnt hold them up this time.
So now, what about the food? EXCELLENT! Now, granted, things ordered that we enjoy in the states didnt taste like home. They were good but not our "normal good" that we enjoy. But, the items we chose to try that we don't have in America were OUTSTANDING! I heard a saying, "Gelato is always a good idea!" Well, yes, the gelato is the best I've had in England! The crepes and belgium waffles topped with all the goodies you want were a popular order as well! We chose a large cookie dough mound that quickly melted in our box with the warm toppings. It turned into a warm, soft gooey cookie. It was the BEST way to serve it in public! I'm a fan for life! Try it out and discover what dessert you'd like! From macaroons, to fudge, to brownies, to ice-creams, to gelato flavors, to smoothies to shakes to fruity drinks! And sooo much more! A fun place to try! Definitely give it a try and have a chat with...
Read moreMy visit to Heavenly Deserts was nothing short of exquisite, marked by an extraordinary culinary journey that tantalized my taste buds with some of the most delightful desserts I've had the pleasure of experiencing. Among the standouts were the Milk Chocolate & Pistachio Shot, the Vanilla Milk Cake, and the Cherry Blossom & Lychee Seltzer—each offering a unique blend of flavors that were both innovative and comforting.
The Milk Chocolate & Pistachio Shot was a perfect symphony of rich, creamy chocolate and the nutty, crunchy texture of pistachios. This dessert managed to strike a delicate balance between sweetness and the subtle savory notes of the nuts, making it an instant favorite.
Equally impressive was the Vanilla Milk Cake, which was incredibly soft and moist, soaking up the vanilla-infused milk in a way that left every bite melting in my mouth. The simplicity of the flavors was its strength, allowing the quality of the ingredients to shine through and create a truly memorable dessert.
The Cherry Blossom & Lychee Seltzer was a refreshing departure from the traditional dessert options. Its light, floral notes, paired with the sweet lychee, provided a refreshing end to the meal. It was an inventive combination that captured the essence of spring in a glass.
Adding to the delightful experience was the exceptional service provided by Qaisan, whose attention to detail, friendly demeanor, and knowledge of the menu made our visit even more enjoyable. His recommendations were spot-on, and his passion for customer satisfaction was evident throughout our dining experience.
Heavenly Deserts has truly lived up to its name, offering an array of desserts that are both innovative and satisfying. The combination of delicious treats and outstanding service has made this a place I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a top-notch dessert experience. It's clear that Heavenly Deserts is committed to quality, creativity, and customer satisfaction, making it a must-visit for...
Read moreI came here on the 7th of March, what attracted us to the restaurant was the fact that the shop was stunning and the good reviews. When walking into the establishment a lovely man told us to sit where we should like as it was quiet, so we sat in the booth at the back. Emilia who is a supervisor approached us (without greeting us) and told us we had to wait by the front to be seated in a very cold and hostile way. We explained that we was at the front and was told to sit where we would like - she tutted and replied ‘mmhm’ walked off and gave us the menus. She came back approximately 3 minutes later leaving us no time to look asking what we wanted. We explained we needed more time and she walked off without saying a word. We then had to approach her 10 minutes later to order, she came back and said ‘yes?’ With her tablet in her hand indicating she wanted us to tell her our order. We did, with smiles on our faces being extremely polite given the service, she then walked off without saying a word. The whole conversation was one sided. During the time of waiting to order she walked passed us several times giving dirty looks and tutting. To the point where one of us felt uncomfortable. We actually wanted a drink with our meal and we approached the counter rather than Emilia as we didn’t feel comfortable approaching her. She then approached us after and said ‘what are you doing what’s wrong’ as we approached the counter and not her. But could you blame us? I’m assuming she did this as she may have panicked about the service she was giving? Not sure. We asked about the water 10 minutes later and the lovely man explained that he thought she gave it to us, but nope she didn’t! The food is nice, the restaurant is stunning. However the service is shocking, especially by a ‘supervisor’. The service ruined the whole experience for us! We did not feel welcome. We felt like a burden. And we will not...
