I feel lucky to live beside this unassuming little river. It's easy enough to pass over a bridge and not even notice it as it quietly meanders its way through Wokingham. It's suffered somewhat from pollution over the years but is presently healthy enough to support ducks, a pair of lesser egrets and even a kingfisher or two, it'll only take another discharge from the local industrial estate to undo this progress however.
