Well the first 4 hours great I was fishing on the stack pool without much success but a good relaxing afternoon my sin pop down after he had finished work ...we heard some voices in the bushes behind us and where shocked when when they started shooting up drugs with children playing on the park not 100 yards away ..packed up my tackle straight away and we come away I did make myself known with a loud voice to say how disgusted I was but they where oblivious to my words ...I was putting fishing tackle in car and low and behold they walked up springfield lane and guess what ...the woman was one of the ones who sits in town begging..... the one with the red bobbed hair ...what a shame because Springfield has become a beautiful place since days gone by when there was a tip there ...this comment does not in any way blame the volunteers who have made the park what it is today ..parentsand dog walkers be aware just incase needles are being...

Read moreWe visited Springfield park last week and were pleasantly surprised, not only how big is it but also two family members in our party, didn't even know it existed, even tho we'd lived close by. As its not visible from the main road, we had to look for a small signpost for directions off the main Kidderminster to Stourbridge Rd. Theres a big carpark, a children's area, and football pitches. I particularly like the pond area with the large historic chimneystack. I'm so glad they left it as a monument as it's an important part of our local history, and used to belong to a mill. The canal and River Stour both run through this park too, and with all the amenities, they offer, it will certainly suit everyone's taste. There's also a cafe too, but the opening hours...
