This temple belongs to devotees, including members of the management. Trustees are required to work for the temple and not for their own name and fame.
Written rules and regulations are the norm at every successful institution, except The Hindu Temple ("THT"). THT decisions are made randomly that encourages abuses? Providing board and lodging is a special remuneration. ISKCON does not pay to resident priests; they have to earn. At THT it costs minimally around $ 1500 for one resident priest.
To name a few, Mangil Mandir, Swami Naryan temple have one priest, rest are volunteers. THT shuns volunteers. Those who used to come have been shunned out.
Management use proxies to work for them. These proxies insult devotees and are unaccountable for their actions. Their contributions are nonexistent.
Devotees have brought to your notice that temple donations are wasted at rapid pace and THT cannot afford that. Some of these acts include but not limited to:
Excessive payroll, $ 10876.21 in May 2017. The Dan Patra in December 2016 was $ 6,154.
Scheduling of THT staff is nonproductive. Three priests (khatus) listen to lectures by outside Acharyas and are paid by devotees and devotees who pay for their expenses are nakhatus (management does not listen to nakhatus).
You know Lord Krishna went as messenger of peace, but Duryodhna did not listen; Mandodri, Vibikshan Ji, Sh. Hanumanji tried to bestow sanity in Ravana. Motto you cannot shun advice from trusted devotees. Since you have not listened, the result would be as listed in the scriptures. God acts and cannot be pleased by water from a bigger kalsh.
Very littel work by temple priests. All day work on internet provided by THT; gossip during the day; tea and food in the professional kitchen; etc. One has to see when their cell phone rings, they run from prayer services to attend to that.
Parallel lines of unaccounted revenues.
There was no need for third gentleman. He has no credentials and is greedy beyond explanation.
Poor temple maintenance.
Some of you have food businesses, but still unhygienic food distributions.
Paid board and lodging without any reason and without disclosing the tax-lady.
THT has minimally violated tax-lady and State of Maryland rules. THT management has formed an unaccounted for group to defraud devotees. They have hatched conspiracy that is punishable under State and Federal laws. Don't let State and Federal district attorneys chase you.
Devotees are common hand-to-mouth resource persons, some of them earn less than THT staff. Temple has lost around three million dollars and the loss is...
Read moreHi All,
I am writing to bring to your attention a deeply upsetting incident that occurred at the temple recently. My wife was forcibly asked to sing in the temple, even though I had previously informed the mandir singing team that she would not be performing. Despite my request, her name was repeatedly called out on the microphone to come and sing.
Reluctantly, my wife went up to the front to comply. However, before she could even pick up the microphone, Arjun Jaipuria began to insult her publicly. This was completely unwarranted and disrespectful.
We then took the matter to the President of the temple, Mr. Vipin, in hopes of resolving the issue. Instead, we were further humiliated when he responded by saying, "You devotees are not more important than Jaipuria, and I am not going to lose Jaipuria because of you." These words were spoken in front of Vijay Kushwaha and her husband.
The role of the President is to support and protect the devotees, but the President's actions in this instance have shown a lack of care for the temple community. It is incredibly disheartening to see such a lack of leadership, and I believe this incident will negatively impact the future of the temple and its devotees.

Read more“I am deeply disappointed with my experience at this temple. A place that should embody spirituality, equality, and devotion has instead been tainted by corruption, favoritism, and exclusionary practices. It is disheartening to see clear financial mismanagement, where donations meant for religious and charitable purposes seem to serve personal interests instead.
The temple’s management not only tolerates but actively enables unacceptable behavior from certain individuals. Whether through favoritism or turning a blind eye, they allow misconduct to persist, making the environment uncomfortable for many devotees. Rather than promoting fairness and harmony, they create an atmosphere of division and elitism.
Even more disturbing is the way the management treats devotees. Instead of fostering humility and service, they speak down to people with arrogance and condescension, making those who come for worship feel unwelcome. A temple should be a sanctuary of peace, where all are treated with respect, regardless of background or status.
Unfortunately, this place has strayed far from those ideals. I sincerely hope the administration takes immediate steps to restore integrity, transparency, and fairness. Until then, I cannot in good faith recommend this temple to anyone seeking a genuine spiritual...
