This is an enjoyable, relatively compact Bolliger & Mabillard floorless coaster with five inversions. (It is not to be confused with the identical B&M inverted coasters called "Batman: The Ride" at several other Six Flags parks; this one is different.)
It's a floorless, which means that you're riding above the track but in a train with an open construction, so that your legs are hanging out with no floor beneath you or car shell surrounding you. To accomplish this effect, the station has a movable floor that folds away once the ride ops have you secured in the over-the-shoulder restraints. Once that's done, you head up a steep lift hill to a swooping drop that curves sharply off to the left, directly into the first inversion, a forceful vertical loop.
This ride is all about inversions, which are tightly constructed and most of which pack powerful positive Gs pushing you down in your seat. There's the vertical loop, a dive loop, a zero-G roll and finally a pair of intertwining corkscrews. If this is your bag, Batman: TDK delivers. There's not a lot of negative G-force, but that is not the aim of this ride.
My favorite thing about Batman is that it has a single-rider line! If you don't mind riding by yourself and sitting where the ride ops tell you to sit, you can pretty much skip the line entirely. Go in the coaster's exit, then follow the signs for single riders up the stairs on the right and tell the ride ops you're a single rider. They'll wave you right on, probably on the next train. You could marathon this without waiting.
Another fun fact: the largest roller coaster in India, Nitro at Imagicaa, has a slightly larger, somewhat refined mirror-image of this...

Read moreBrilliant ride - really enjoyed this. It was smooth and easy on the body whilst pushing the adrenaline g force. The seats were comfortable. There is a locker at the bottom for loose items and bags, there isn’t anywhere to put things when you get to the car. There are plenty of seats with extra harness space. The purple track is nice but doesn’t stand out too much and as this ride is tucked at the back it doesn’t look as imposing as it could do. As with all the Six Flag rides there is nothing ‘dark knight’ about it other than a cut out at the front. Well worth a...
