Gotham City Gauntlet: Escape from Arkham Asylum — Attraction in Agawam

OUCH! I used to love this coaster. For the most part it is quite safe and tame, but the quick, tight turns make it terrifying!

In the past, the attendants were somewhat lax about enforcing "proper" posture, so it was possible to sit sideways and brace yourself that way in the car.

Now, for safety, you must sit properly, facing front, both feet on your side of the floor. Then, as you whip around those hairpin turns, you get banged around in that little car. Last year I got some bruises on my legs; this year, I got those again, plus a really painful bruise to my ribs from the top edge of the car.

It's not a real gauntlet! No one should be...

I have been to 6 flags more time than I can count for the last 17 years! This is my first time riding this ride and let me just say I regret it! My daughter and her sister went on 1 cart and me and my friend on the other. The turns are so rough the bars ram into your legs leaving bruises. I got a cramp from the bar hitting so hard. You slide around and bounce between the bars getting hurt. Horrible. Then the stop at the end hurt SO bad it felt like someone sucker punched me in the stomach a d I lost my breath. Horrible ride! Never again will I ride it. They could put padding or design better carts...

It's a fun ride the first time I was on it was able to position myself to absorb those tight banging corners and not hurt myself or my kid as the other operator made me sit in the proper position and I'm 6'5 just at the top of the ride ability and trying not to hurt me or my daughter in turn I did bracing myself feels like a torn rotator and bruised Charlie horses thigh from the safety bar.. 😠. I'll only ride again if my daughter doesn't get taller by the next time. Could be better if extra...
