I give this place 3 stars because it’s very nostalgic for me but if that weren’t the case it’d easily be less. I lived 30 mins away when they built this and there weren’t many free skateparks then. We loved Akron park. It was our sanctuary for many years. However, the city really let this place go. They need lights and cameras for the thugs that have no business being there and they need to do yearly maintenance due to the absurd amount of cracks and broken concrete. The graffiti looks rad, but it also destroys the park too. It’s very unfortunate this park is no longer safe or fun to skate at due to these reasons, among plenty of others.
