The food was good but don’t come here if you have any food sensitivities or allergies. They are cranky about it and don’t want to accommodate in any fashion. I ordered an egg white veggie omelette. I asked the waitress what kind of oil they use to fry the egg in. She replied with butter. She appeared irritated by me questioning. I then asked if they had any milk alternative oils they could Friday egg in like olive oil or canola oil, etc.. She said she had no idea she would have to check. I said OK. I assumed she would come back with a response to let me know. Instead, she came back with an egg, white veggie omelette with cheese on top and cheese inside even though I said I couldn’t have dairy. Then she was very abrupt and cranky when I needed an omelette without cheese. There were no water refills. The other person I was with got potato pancakes, which she said were delicious. So as far as the food, what we had seemed quite tasty and good. But the service is horrific and not very accommodating. As for the inside of the facility, it’s quite nice. Very open. Lots of windows. Has a bar seating area where you can see some of the kitchen. I won’t be returning, but for people without food allergies this may be a good option.

Looking for an adorable breakfast spot? Head to The Boathouse Cafe and you won’t be disappointed! This cute local scene serves chic decorations, picture-worthy color schemes, tasty breakfast and brunch dishes, and some of the kindest, most attentive staff you’ll find! Despite the limited restaurant space, we were seated immediately upon arriving - though we did notice a line beginning to form shortly after we got there, as it’s not a very large space. We each started with a smoothie — one blueberry pineapple and one mango banana — and they were a refreshingly delicious way to begin our experience. The blueberry pineapple smoothie was so good it deserves an extra shoutout! To eat, we had the avocado bowl and the Spanish omelette, and they did not disappoint. The avocado bowl was filled with handfuls of fresh, colorful veggies, and the omelette was topped with the cafe’s delicious house-made red sauce. The hash brown potatoes weren’t the greatest, as they seemed a bit undercooked. But overall, we had a wonderful experience, and their large and diverse menu options will definitely keep us coming back for more!

Nice clean restaurant. Super efficient, friendly staff. Nice menu choices. Nicely plated and prepared dishes coming out of the kitchen. Only down grade is the flavor. Nothing in my plate tasted excellent. Everything was just acceptable. I had to reach for the salt and pepper several different times to try and add flavor. The breakfast tacos would have been my second menu choice. I may return to sample those. Hopefully there is flavor explosion in those. Made a return trip to sample the breakfast tacos. These were well cooked, attractively served and tasty. I enjoyed the flavor and they served them with real name brand sauce. I still had to add seasoning, but it was more of a preference. The tacos had a decent flavor without the table seasonings. The home fried potatoes were wonderful. Great crispness without the puddle of grease that is found at a lot of places that serve crispy home fries. I wonder if they’d allow me to add onions? Another excuse to go back. 🙂

Warning: Long Review-but it paints the picture of one of the worse experiences I have had dining out!

Took our 82 year mother there 8-2-23 for her birthday!

I have never been to this restaurant, but my mother, sister & aunt have and said the food was great!

Our cousin came in from Medina to meet us as well-her first and sadly probably her last experience there as well!

Clearly they were busy, every table taken & WE understood that, had no problem with that at all! We weren’t in a hurry, we weren’t demanding, we were VERY understanding!

Ran into other relatives that were already seated, they were at a table that sat 6. They offered for us to join them, but we had 5. So when a 4 seat table opened up, the relatives took it upon themselves to move to that table so we could have theirs. It was still dirty with dishes, as those customers had just left.

There were no customers at the door waiting either, so they didn’t take another customer table, nor did we!

My sister, went to let the 2 servers know why we “sat ourselves” & how it happened with the other relatives moving, letting us sit at their previous table.

The 2 servers didn’t even acknowledge what she said, they simply talked to each other with a snide “that’s why we have a sign that says “wait to be seated”. No kidding-thank you Captain Obvious!! That’s why she came to explain it to you!!

Dirty looks were given to us as well. No smile, no 1/2 smile, not even a fake attempt smile & certainly no welcoming feeling at all!

Then one of the servers-the older one of the two working, says in our ear shot, as she’s clearing the dirty dishes of the relatives that moved, says to them “this is why we have a sign that says “please wait to be seated”. Again—really?!? You don’t say!! Again this is WHY my sister told you what happened!! It was completely unnecessary to state once, let alone twice!!

At this point, knowing our service would be far less than welcoming & pleasant since this was already happening, and we were now feeling very uncomfortable, we made the decision to leave!

I have been in the restaurant management business for 15+years-managed 100 seat restaurants, and this POOR customer service experience shouldn’t have happened!

Servers that are under stress, short staffed, customers moving tables, kitchen backed up, no busers to clear tables, no help from management in the front of the house, whatever THEIR “issues/excuses” are should NEVER be directed to your customers-it is unacceptable & unprofessional-PERIOD!!

We were giving the staff grace and understanding, but sadly it wasn’t reciprocated back to us!

Our mother loves the homemade cheesecake at the sister restaurant-Iron Grill. So after we went to another restaurant for brunch we did go there to get her cheesecake as planned.

Ricki, a manager, was sincerely apologetic about our experience from early. She provided excellent customer service! I appreciated her!!

I also spoke to Summer, who I thought was the owner, she stated she was a partner? She also apologized & stated she would talk to the servers, which is all anyone can expect. But perhaps better customer service training as well!

Summer, however, also interrupted me, and made excuses as to why her staff would provided the comments about seating, therefore attempting to minimize our experience. I felt she was listening to rebut, justify and make excuses vs listening to sincerely understand.

You could have the BEST food, and the WORSE customer service which equals loss of customers. At least for...

Me and my partner decided to try this place out today, though the atmosphere and food were pretty good, the service we received was atrocious. we both work in the food industry so we understand the struggle that staff go through when trying to get through a service, and are usually understanding but we were both sort of in shock by how our morning played out. We ordered our food within 10 minutes of being sat, right when our server brought us our drinks back. After that, multiple tables were sat and they then started to receive their food as we were still waiting on ours. Mind you my partner got a soup and salad and I got french toast potatoes & bacon and it has been around 40 minutes we were waiting at this point. We didn’t say anything and continued to wait on our food and our server brought out only my french toast and proceeded to say the rest of our food would be out shortly. We were then waiting about 10 minutes for the rest of our food my partner went to what I assume was the manager and asked what was going on. We weren’t upset about how long it was taking or even that people were getting their food before us, it was more so that our server was very actively avoiding our table and not communicating with us what was going on for whatever reason, making sure that her other tables had absolutely everything while me and my partner had to go to the front and ask for something multiple times. when we finally received our food the manager brought it over and offered to compensate a portion of our check considering what had happened. When we received our check we noticed that NOTHING had been comped. at this point we were so over with having to go up to the front and ask for things that we just decided to pay and get the hell out. I’m not sure if it was just a bad day, but this experience was one of the worst i’ve ever had at a restaurant and definitely makes me not want to go back. The fried chicken is...
