Godfrey Park — Attraction in Alameda

Park is OK for a community park Has grass, some trees and playground with bark Place is kind of old, and there's a lot of geese wish there was someone who would clean the droppings (please!)

Make sure you have an adult come with kids (ok don't freak out about this) by sometimes there's a homeless dude around sleeping on the benches (when the weather is nice). He's been non threatening and doesn't engage with you so I think he's relatively safe but like all parks parents should always be present.

There are two play structures, one for smaller kids and the other for bigger kids. They're kind of old but they're ok. Got baby swings and kids swings. They also have two full basketball courts, baseball field, and a large space for soccer. Overall...

horrible restrooms. good play structures, one for older kids and one geared towards younger ones. however, with no clear delineation between the structures, the older kids tend to overrun both.

also had a couple small basketball courts side by side and a small baseball field. i did not walk the infield, but the outfield was a mess of rodent holes.

Godfrey Park is nice. There's tables and chairs to use for potluck. There's a park and basketball court to use. When I was there, I ate potluck and played frisbee.
