The Railcar Bar tasting room where you can enjoy drinks from all over Alaska is open 2-8 pm on Thursdays and Saturdays seasonally in the summer (their license lets them operate mid-May to mid-November but they open and close based on the weather, so check their Facebook or Instagram for updates). What a beautiful place to stop. Traveling north and south on Parks Hiway, this is a family farm that includes sale of vegetables grown in a 12 week season in Summer. There is a beer tasting Raul’s car/ tasting room. Also a Bed and Breakfast. Visited the farm stand at Moonstone Farm the other day to buy farm-fresh veggies! The kids gobbled up sugar snap peas and we enjoyed roasted beets and garlic later. They also have a remodeled railroad car tasting room with several local brews on tap including root beer.
