Bad customer service and bad business ethics from day one. Sold me a tub in 2012 at the AK State Fair and it has been a lemon throughout the entire 5-year warranty and still is today in 2019. They were repeatedly argumentative and rude when I disputed service charges. For example, they tried to charge me again when their tech didn’t fix the problem the first time and had to come right back out to my home. Yes, it’s a long drive, but not my problem however, I compromised and still paid them gas mileage for their return trip. Over the course of 6 years, ALL the electrical and electronic components have been replaced and they’ve been out to my property 7 times that I have receipts for..all time off I’ve had to take from my work and schedule to be here for them. On MULTIPLE OTHER occasions, their service tech walked ME through troubleshooting and replacing warranty parts when they couldn’t get out here timely. I even drove to their store (100 miles away) on 3 occasions and picked up parts under warranty and installed them MYSELF to help them out and get the tub running...never once getting a thank you. The tub has never worked correctly and they refused to replace the tub early on when it was still under warranty (I asked twice). Instead they strung me along with repairs (often jury rigged) and took advantage of my patience, good nature and my wallet. Today 4/4/2019 the tub is broken again and I quickly found the problem since I’m so familiar with repairing it myself. I called Arctic Home Living to check on availability of the part (which they’ve already replaced once under warrant), and they quote a higher price than I can get from the tub manufacturer. That’s fine, but when I told them I can get a better price, and reminded them of all the many troubles I’ve had with this tub, they had the nerve to tell me that I’ve only spent $300+ in service charges with them and totally marginalized my bad experiences, yet AGAIN. I wouldn’t normally write a review like this, or as long, but they’ve made it perfectly clear over the years that they don’t care that they sold me a lemon. They no longer sell my brand of hot tub because of problems like this and they’ve continually reminded me of this through the process, but this should have no bearing on them standing behind the products they sell! They should have replaced the tub years ago and I was willing to keep that under my hat until this latest development. Over the years they’ve made me feel like this has all been my fault somehow...well, never again. I will never give these guys another dime...not even for filters or chemicals. Bad business ethics and terrible...
