Truth be told, I have never set foot in this library, but this morning, I saw one of the Alexandria Library staff at a local health clinic with a bag of children's books. She was conversing with two children there and trying to figure out which books they would most enjoy. Whether this is an outreach program or personal initiative, I don't know, but I was impressed. Not only was the 'librarian' sharing her love of books with these children, but she was helping parents in the clinic by occupying the children with civil activity.
