Great burgers. The specialize in burgers if you couldn't tell. They have two menus. One is their specific burgers. I didn't even look at that. I opted for the "build your own" burger menu. You take a clipboard and put tick marks in the boxes of everything you want on your burger. First you choose your burger. You can choose beef or a vegetarian option. Next the bun. They have a wide variety there. You can get a regular bun, pretzel bun, gluten free bun, or even a lettuce wrap. Heck, you can even choose no bun. Next, the cheese. Too many choices. They all are an additional $1.25 each (American is only $1.) They even have pimento cheese. Then comes the choice of your usual toppings. Lettuce, tomato, onion, and jalapenos. Also, the normal condiments, mayo, ketchup, relish, and pickles. Now you can add their "fancy" toppings for $0.95 each. Such things as pulled pork, bacon, chili, egg, Mac and cheese, and fried green tomatoes to name just a few. Lastly, the sauces. Don't make the mistake I made. I originally put down ketchup as one of my toppings but then had to scratch that and add a sauce of my choice. Bourbon glaze. Very good. They have quite the long list of sauces that you can have on your burger all $0.25 each. There is way too many to list. My son had the garlic aioli which was very good as well. I am glad that there were an abundance of napkins on the table because my burger was slightly messy (ok, perhaps pretty messy.) Their fries are very good as well. On the thin side and seasoned well. I didn't need any ketchup on them. My wife also ordered the onion rings. They were ok. If you are going to visit them, plan on leaving full and having to losten your...
Read moreThe name, "Holy Cow" made it seem like I was going to have a "WoW!," moment. It clearly misses the mark.
I took 1 bite of this burger & I knew that I would not be going back. I only ate a part of it because of the amount of money that was spent on it. Five Guys tastes better than this. Feeding my family of 3 in this establishment costs in excess of $71.00+ dollars. Every item is charged a la cart. I purchased 3 burgers, 3 fries, & 4 drinks. I bought an extra drink because the cups aren't that big. You'll finish your drink before you finish your food.
My burger wasn't cooked all the way through. There was still some pink to be seen & I don't eat my burgers like that. Steak, yeah, I could eat a medium to medium well steak but not burgers. My preference for burgers is that they be cooked well done.
The fries were extra greasy which made my stomach nauseous. I only ate a handful of the french fries. I tossed the rest in the trash which was a waste of money, however, I couldn't get past the fact that when you pick up a couple of fries, like most of us do, when you hold them to get ready to eat them, grease is dripping out of the fries. I can't eat that. 🤢🤢🤢 I'm feeling nauseous just thinking about that food.
I give this restaurant 3 ⭐⭐⭐ Stars. It was okay but nothing to write home about. It's too pricey for a mediocre burger. Try it at...
Read moreIt's not often you get to have "the best" of something, but in our recent visit to this burger place we had exactly that. My son and I have been visiting burger places and rating them.. looking for the best burger for us. He typically has just a cheeseburger with ketchup which is great as its easy to rate it against other places. We came to Holy Cow because it was close and was rated high and... HOLY COW! what a great burger. with couple bites, the burger was no question number one on our list. The patty was juicy but not greasy.. with lots of flavour.. the bun was warm but not burnt and just plain delicious. I had the Popper which is spectacular and I will try to copy the topping combination as it was absolutely delicious.. the fried jalapenos mixed with garlic ailoli and cream cheese was mouth watering... we also tried the Hot Mess and it was meal for sure.. great combination there as well. but just the cheeseburger with ketchup was enough to put it on the top of our list. The place itself is low key and I like the open kitchen that has nothing to hide. The service and staff was fantastic. Can't comment on anything else on the menu but the burgers are a must try. I will definitely make sure to come again if my travels take me through here again. Thanks for a...
